Cookie and storage notice

Last updated 5 October 2026

HYVE uses a sign-in cookie and a small amount of storage on your device. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. This notice covers cookies and similar technologies, including local storage, under the Irish ePrivacy rules and the GDPR.

What we store

The table lists everything the shop itself writes. Durations are the ones configured today.

Sign-in and basket

The session cookie is set when you sign in, so you can stay signed in while you shop. The basket is stored when you add a product, so the items are still there if you move between pages. Irish Data Protection Commission guidance treats a shopping-basket cookie as the kind of storage that can be strictly necessary for a service you have asked for. We use these only for that purpose.

Wishlist and theme

Wishlist and theme storage are written only after you save a product or change the appearance. We use them to provide the feature you used. They are not advertising profiles, and opening a product page does not add you to a recently-viewed record.

Stripe

When you pay, we send you to Stripe Checkout. Stripe may set cookies on its own domain to take the payment and reduce fraud. Those cookies are Stripe’s. Their privacy notice is at stripe.com/privacy. HYVE does not load Stripe on ordinary shopping pages.

What we do not use

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social plug-ins, or other tracking that follows you around the web. If we add analytics or advertising later, we will describe it here and ask for consent before any non-essential storage is set. Consent would be off until you choose it, and refusing would be as easy as accepting.

How to control storage

You can remove the basket in the cart, remove saved products in your wishlist, and change the theme from the theme control. Signing out ends the session. Your browser can also block or delete cookies and site data for this website. Blocking the session cookie will sign you out. Blocking local storage will stop the basket from being remembered between pages.

The privacy note explains the personal data behind your account and orders.
